Mission Houses plans Halloween, holiday events

Mission Houses Museum, 553 South King St., is holding these holiday programs:

-- Halloween Tales from the Tombs, 6 p.m. Oct. 27: Historian and author Nanette Napoleon tells real-life spooky-kine stories related to graveyards and the spirits which inhabit them. Part of this program will be held in the Mission Houses Cemetery, weather permitting. Refreshments will be served. Admission: $15 ($10 members, $6 children 5-17, free for children younger than age 5). Meet at the Visitor Information Desk; 531-0481 ext. 707.

-- Holiday Craft Fair, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 24-25: The fair features a wide variety of locally made crafts, fine art, jewelry, quilts, ceramics, woodcarvings and clothing, as well as food booths; 531-0481 ext. 714.

-- Candlelight Christmas (6 p.m. Dec. 15-16): Imagine Christmas from the 1800s; $15 ($10 members, $6 children 5-17, free for children younger than age 5). Reservations recommended; 531-0481 ext. 707.
