Rocker Johnny Helm to appear at brunch show

Johnny Helm, a Na Hoku Hanohano Award nominee, will make a rare mid-day appearance, starting at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 28, at Brasserie Du Vin, at 1115 Bethel St. in Downtown Honolulu.

Helm gives periodic club performances and has opened for Leon Russell in concert and has also played in Jack Johnson's ookua Festival. Both his CDs, "Divide" and "At Random," have been Rock Album nominees in the Hoku awards.

For the special Sunday show, Brasserie Du Vin chef Scott Nelson is offering a brunch-friendly seafood menu including steamed mussels, eggs Dauphine with salmon, ahi nicoise salad, tiger shrimp and rainbow trout.
