Executive Director named for Hawai'inuiakea School

Dr. Myrtle Yamada has been appointed as the Executive Director of the newly established Hawai'inuiakea School of Hawaiian Knowledge at the UH Manoa campus. She will serve in this capacity until a permanent dean is hired for the School, Linda K. Johnsrud, Interim Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs announced yesteraday.

Yamada will be working with the Aha Kuhina and the directors of three centers of Hawai'inuiakea School of Hawaiian Knowledge to build an internal infrastructure, including the establishment of policies and procedures related to the academic, research, service, and administrative matters of the School.
