Kamehameha students volunteer for Meals on Wheels

Forty senior high school students from Kamehameha Schools will spend time visiting and conversing with kupuna following a special delivery of cookies at three senior centers served by Lanakila Meals on Wheels today.

The service project will offer an opportunity for "seniors" from two different generations to hear about each other's lives and experiences.

The students will help with cookie making from 9:20 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Lanakila Rehabiliation Center, then make deliverys to three sites:

9:50 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Susannah Wesley Senior Center in Kalihi. (8 seniors, 8 students)

10 a.m. to 11:10 a.m.: Kokua Kalihi Valley Elderly Services Center, Honolulu, (50 seniors, 12 students)

10:10 a.m. to 11:20 a.m.: Kuhio Park Terrace Senior Center, Honolulu, (50 seniors, 10 students)
