Hawaii Theatre Follies auditions on Oct. 27

Advertiser Staff

Prospects for the Hawaii Theatre Follies, an outgrowth of the Mardi Gras Follies, may try out at auditions slated Oct. 27 at the Downtown theater.

Showgirls and dancers will be seen from noon to 1 p.m., and appropriate dress is suggested. Singers, performance artists and novelty acts will be seen from 1 to 4 p.m. Auditioners must be 18 and older.

Those trying out should bring a photo, a performance resume and sheet music; a piano will be available, but you must supply your own accompanist. CD music may be used, with tracks marked on the case.

The follies show is slated from Feb. 1 to 3, with rehearsals beginning Dec. 5 at the Waikiki Recreational Center, moving to the Hawaii Theatre starting Jan. 28.
