NFL: Titans' QB Young bystander at practice

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young rested his strained right quadriceps todayby watching practice, leaving the work to backup Kerry Collins.
Young hurt his leg Sunday in the third quarter of a 13-10 loss to Tampa Bay as he sprinted to the sideline on a 2-yard gain. The Titans gave Young an MRI on Monday to determine how to treat the muscle and he has been trying to heal.
But coach Jeff Fisher said Young would be day to day and might not practice this week as the Titans (3-2) prepare to visit Houston (3-3).
Young, the 2006 Offensive Rookie of the Year, walked onto the field about 40 minutes into the session. He was wearing shorts and a hooded sweat shirt pulled over his head, arriving before team drills began.
If Collins starts Sunday, it would be the 13-year veteran's first since Sept. 24, 2006, when he started a 13-10 loss at Miami.
In other moves, the Titans released punter Josh Miller to free up a roster space. QB Ingle Martin, a 2006 draft pick by Green Bay, has been on the practice squad and could be promoted to take that slot as insurance for Tennessee.
