TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Pushing Daisies," 7 p.m., ABC. In its first two weeks, "Pushing Daisies" has been top-grade TV — clever, original and visually impressive. The only question is whether it can keep it up. Midway through the second episode, trade-paper Variety says, director Barry Sonnenfeld was dropped for going over budget. That happened to be an amazing episode, with the whimsical look of an expensive movie. Now we'll see what can happen on a normal budget. Ned probes a murder in the funeral home where he once brought his loved one back to life; meanwhile, she's trying to re-invigorate her aunts' lives.

OF NOTE

"Back to You," 7 p.m., Fox. Chuck (Kelsey Grammer) skips his romance plans, so he can have dinner with the station's young news director. Meanwhile, Kelly (Patricia Heaton) goes to clubs with Montana, the sexy weather woman.

"'Til Death," 7:30, Fox. Suddenly, Joy is interested in tennis and Eddie is into yoga. That means she's often with Jeff; he's with Steph.

"The Sarah Silverman Program," 7:30 p.m., Comedy Central. Trying to prove that Jews are more persecuted, Sarah pretends to be black.

"Private Practice," 8 p.m., ABC. Addison invites everyone to a party at her house. That's meant as a togetherness thing - except no one RSVPs.

"Bionic Woman," 8 p.m., NBC. So far, Jaime has been stunned to learn details of the bionic program. Her fiance apparently scouted her for years, before they met. The bionics program has harsh flaws and has left its first creation (Sarah) a shattered mess. Now, while rescuing a doctor in Paraguay, Jaime learns more about her own life expectancy.

"Life," 9 p.m., NBC. When a man is found dead, the neighbors have oddly conflicting views of what happened.

"CSI: NY," 9 p.m., CBS. A man confesses to a murder that hasn't happened yet. That leaves Mac investigating the prospects of time travel.

"Dirty Sexy Money," 9 p.m., ABC. Nick and his wife vacation in Italy. The charm is lost, however, because they're accompanied by Karen (the thrice-married socialite who is Nick's ex-lover) and her latest guy, Freddy. Meanwhile, her dad has learned that his wife cheated on him; he obsesses on learning if he's the biological father of their kids.
