Maui's chef Bev Gannon of Hali'imaile General Store and Joe's Bar & Grill will appear on TV chef and author Giada De Laurentiis' Food Network program, "Giada's Weekend Getaways." De Laurentiis was on Maui recently to film the episode, focused on a midday lunch at Hali'imaile.

She was accompanied by her friend Gabrielle Reece, watched closely by starstruck patrons and staff. "Giada couldn't have been any nicer," said Gannon. "Gabby and her husband, Laird (Hamilton), come in often to dine. So it was nice to see these two ladies enjoying a real experience, something they normally do together."
