Two crafts events are set for this week on Kaua'i.

The weekly West Kauai Craft Fair in Waimea will open tomorrow at the site of the former Waimea Sugar Mill.

Featured crafts include handmade paper, hand-sewn quilts, glass beads, photographs of Kaua'i, handmade jewelry and koa wood bowls. Most products are made on Kaua'i or in Hawai'i. Fair hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Sunday.

In Koloa, the two-day Grand Hyatt Kauai Hawaiiana Festival will begin Friday with a 9 a.m. craft fair. The free event will also feature cultural demonstrations. Saturday's festivities will include presentation of the Aloha Festivals royal court.
