Maui man in critical condition after Wailuku car crash

A Maui man is in critical condition at Maui Memorial Hospital after crashing his 2002 Mustang on Pulehu Road in Wailuku at about 5:30 this morning, officials said.The 33-year-old driver was headed toward Kahului when he lost control of his car on a left-hand curve about 3 miles north of Oma'opio Road, police said.
The man was reportedly thrown from the vehicle when his car overturned. Police said he was not wearing a seat belt.
