Repairs on Farrington near Kahe Power Plant continue

Advertiser Staff

A west-bound lane on Farrington Highway near the Kahe Power Plant will be contra-flowed into the east-bound direction for morning commuters as repairs to a water main underneath the highway continue, a Board of Water Supply spokeswoman said this morning.

Repairs to a 24-inch pipe deeply embedded below the surface sprung a leak two days ago should be completed sometime today.

BWS spokeswoman Wanda Yamane said two lanes heading into town from Waianae will be open this morning to cope with rush-hour traffic. It is the same pattern used yesterday.

BWS customers are asked to conserve water through 6 p.m. today.
