Surf drops, but more swells are on the way

Advertiser Staff

That brief, almost winter-like swell the North Shore experienced yesterday has come and gone, taking with it the 10-foot surf.

Take heart, big-wave surfers, the National Weather Service forecast said several swells from the north and northwest will arrive this weekend and late Monday, and wave heights again be near advisory levels along norther shores.

As for today's forecast, surf is expected to lower to 3 to 6 feet along north-facing shores and surf along west shores to lower to 1 to 3 feeet, the same as along south-facing shores. Surf along eastern shores will be 2 to 3 feet.
