Hawai'i Intermediate Court of Appeals Chief Judge Mark Recktenwald will discuss the new appellate court structure and other initiatives during an Oct. 30 session with the West Hawai'i Bar Association in Kona.

Third Circuit Court Chief Judge Ronald Ibarra will discuss recent case assignment changes on the Big Island, and Kona Circuit Judge Elizabeth Strance will cover practice pointers and court rules at the presentation.

The meeting will be in Ibarra's courtroom at 81-940 Haleki'i St. in Kealakekua from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
