HILO
School to get new fire alarms

Advertiser Staff

Gov. Linda Lingle has released $112,000 for design and construction of a fire-alarm system at Hilo High School's annex facilities.

Hilo Annex Buildings A, B, C and D are occupied by various high school administrative offices and the Hilo Community School for adults.

The facilities are also used for school meetings, conferences, training sessions and workshops.

Lingle last year released $63,000 for this project.

Design is scheduled to be completed in December.

Construction is scheduled to begin in April and be completed in August.
