Surf on north-facing shores could hit 10 feet today

Advertiser Staff

An early-season northerly swell could push surf along O'ahu's north-facing shores up to the 8- to 10-foot level today, according to the National Weather Service.

Elsewhere, look for surf of 4 feet to 6 feet along west-facing shores; 2 feet to 3 feet along east-facing shores and 1 foot to 3 feet along south-facing shores.

The north-northwest swells are expected to keep rolling in through Thursday, forecasters said. But surf heights will likely stay below the advisory level for north-facing shores. No significant surf is expected elsewhere.
