Two Schofield GIs injured by hit and run driver

Advertiser Staff

Two Schofield Barracks soldiers were seriously hurt when they were struck by a hit-and-run vehicle on the H-1 Freeway, police said today.

The two men were fixing a flat tire in their car on the freeway late Friday night when another car hit both of them in the far right lane.

The men, 18 and 20 years old, were taken to The Queen's Medical Center in serious condition, police said.

The driver of the second auto fled the scene of the accident, and police have opened a failure to render aid investigation.
