Warriors move up a spot to No. 17 in BCS Standings

Advertiser Staff

The University of Hawai'i football team moved up one spot to No. 17 in the second Bowl Championship Series standings released today.

The standings, which use the USA Today and Harris Interactive polls and computer ratings, help determine the BCS bowl game matchups.

The Warriors, ranked No. 14 in both polls, are undefeated at 7-0 and play New Mexico State on Saturday at Aloha Stadium.

Ohio State is No. 1 in the BCS standings, followed by Boston College, LSU, Arizona State and Oregon.

The Warriors, out of the Western Athletic Conference, which does not have an automatic bid to the Bowl Championship Series, can automatically qualify by finishing in the top 12 of the standings.
