Moon viewing celebration Thursday at KCC

The public is invited to participate in the annual moon viewing celebration at Kapi'olani Community College on Thursday.The event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. costs $35 per person, and will include a buffet dinner and entertainment. The dinner is inspired by the Japanese tradition of moon viewing.
The evening will start off with a Shinto blessing. There will be music and dance, and guests will sip sake as they view the moon.
The event ends with a bon dance.
The celebration, sponsored by several Japanese organizations, will be held in the Ohia building. For reservations or more information, call 941-5889 or 306-1876.
