North Shore surf on the rise again

Advertiser Staff

Those winter waves seem so close to a reality this week, thanks to a seris of northwest swells that are increasing surf to 6 to 10 feet today along northern shores.

The National Weather Service said the surf will be below advisory level.

Still, the 10-footers should make for some great surfing to either try or just head the North Shore to watch.

Elsewhere, surf along west-facing shores today will be 3 to 5 feet, while surf along east shores will be 2 to 4 feet and surf along south shores will be 1 to 3 feet.

A moderate southwest swell is expected Saturday and continue through Sunday, the National Weather Service said.
