Hawai'i stock index off again as decliners rule day

The Bloomberg-Honolulu Advertiser Hawai'i Index fell led by declines in shares of Alexander & Baldwin Inc. and Central Pacific Financial.

The 11-member stock index fell 0.85 points to 97.61 as six stocks declined, three gained and two were unchanged

Alexander & Baldwin fell $1, or 1.9 percent, to close at $50.73.

Central Pacific Financial fell to a new three-year low in tumbling 48 cents, or 2 percent to $23.13.

Shares of Central Pacific have declined 40 percent since the start of the year. That compares to a 19.8 percent decline in the Standard & Poor's Regional Bank Index.
