John Cruz schedules statewide concert tour

Singer-songwriter John Cruz has scheduled a handful of statewide concerts in support of his new album "One of These Days."

Cruz's sophomore disc — his first since the release of his Na Hoku Hanohano award-winning "Acoustic Soul" in 1997 — recently debuted on Billboard Magazine's World Albums chart at no. 6 and has been a best-seller locally.

Cruz's Hawaii concert schedule follows:

Nov. 9 on Kauai, 7:30 p.m., Gaylord's at Kilohana in the new luau pavilion. Tickets for reserved tables of 10 available at Gaylord's; general admission tickets at Border's in Lihue, Bounty Music in Kapaa, Scotty's Music in Kalaheo and Hanalei Music's Strings and Things in Hanalei.

Nov. 10 in Honolulu, 7:30 p.m., Aloha Tower Marketplace Events at the Tower. Theatre-style seating by the waterfront stage at harbor's edge. Tickets available at honoluluboxoffice.com.

Nov. 16 in Kona on the Big Island, 8 p.m., Aloha Theatre. Reserved tickets available at Aloha Theatre box office. General admission tickets available at Lavender Moon Gallery in Kainaliu and Kona Wine Market in Kailua-Kona town.

Nov. 17 in Hilo on the Big Island, 7p.m. Palace Theater. A screening of the documentary "Made of Music - The Story of John Cruz" at 7p.m. precedes the concert. Tickets available at Palace Theater box office, Basically Books and CD Wizard in Hilo.

Nov. 30, Dec. 1 on Maui, 7:30 p.m., McCoy Studio Theater at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. Tickets available at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center box office.
