Ala Moana Hotel workers reach tentative contract deal

Unionized employees and the Ala Moana Hotel have reached a tentative four-year contract agreement, the union announced yesterday.Details of the tentative settlement were not released. UNITE HERE Local 5, which represents about 300 hotel employees, said it wants to provide its members with the contract terms before making them public.
The employees have been working without a contract since it expired on May 31, 2006.
The Ala Moana Hotel, which was converted into a condominium hotel in 2005, is managed by ALM LLC, an affiliate of Outrigger Hotels.
