Damien class raises funds for history trip
Advertiser Staff
A counselor and a history teacher at Damien Memorial School are planning a traveling history classroom for 31 students. The teachers will be bringing students to three cities, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and New York City to provide learning experiences on site.
Damien counselor Carlo Carrasco and teacher Daniel Larraway are holding two fundraisers this week to pay for the trip.
The fundraisers are sales at McDonald's at Kamehameha Shopping Center through 7 p.m. today and a Sunday steak/opakapaka plate dinner and Christmas photo shoot at the school.
Donations of $10 are requested for the plate dinner, to be held from 3 to 7 p.m. at Damien. The photo studio shoot will run from 1 to 7 p.m. and will cost $25 per session, with an 8x10 and 20 4x6 prints.
To schedule a photo-shoot appointment, call Arlene Ching at 428-4358. For more information about the fundraisers, call the school at 841-0195.
