Kalihi man, 23, dies after motorcycle crash in Nanakuli

Advertiser Staff

A 23-year-old Kalihi man died this morning after his motorcycle collided with a car in Nanakuli, police said.

Police said the man was riding a red Honda motorcycle when it collided with the car driven by a 41-year-old woman late Thursday night at the intersection of Farrington Highway and Lualualei Road.

The man, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to a local hospital, where he died, police said. There were no other injuries. Speed and alcohol did not appear to be factors in the crash, police said.

It was the 51st traffic fatality on O'ahu this year, compared with 79 at this time last year.
