Konishiki invites golfers to benefit tournament

Wai'anae resident Salevaa Atisanoe, known to the world as sumo grand champion Konishiki, invites Wai'anae Coast residents to participate in the first Samoan Gospel Heralds' Benefit Golf Tournament at the Olomana Golf Links in Waimanalo on Monday. Tee time is 12:05 p.m.

The Samoan Gospel Heralds is an all-male choir group. The golf tourney is a benefit for the Performing Arts Programs for Youth, including the May Day Program for the Family Treatment Center at The Queen's Medical Center.

Entry fee is $150, or $425 for a team of three. For details, call event coordinator Lori Laupola at 342-8370.
