High surf advisory in effect for east-facing shores

The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory for east-facing shores on all islands except Ni'ihau and Lana'i.An east-northeast swell is expected to build throughout the day today, resulting in surf of 6 to 9 feet, forecasters said.
The surf is expected to remain higher than normal through Monday before subsiding by the middle of the new week.
Look for surf of 2 to 4 feet along all other shorelines.
