Mighty fine weather on tap for today

A high pressure area north of the Islands will keep the trade winds blowing through next Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

The winds will remain locally breezy most of the time but may taper off a bit on Tuesday, forecasters said.

The atmosphere is expected to remain fairly dry for the next several days, so no heavy rainfall is expected.

There may be a more significant change in the weather later in the approaching new week as a front approaches from the northwest bringing unsettled weather.

Today, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Breezy. Highs around 84. East winds 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs around 84. East winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday, sunny with isolated showers. Highs around 84. East winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
