92nd Fire Fighter Recruit Class graduates Wednesday

Fire Chief Kenneth G. Silva has announced that the Honolulu Fire Department's 92nd Fire Fighter Recruit Class will graduate on Wednesday, Oct. 31. A graduation ceremony will be held in the McCoy Pavilion at Ala Moana Regional Park from 10 to 11:30 a.m.The recruits completed 23 weeks of rigorous training and are now certified to the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) Fire Fighter I and HAZMAT Awareness and Operations levels. IFSAC certification confers recognition that a firefighter's training has provided professional qualifications that meet national standards.
Besides studying and developing skills in fire fighting, rescue procedures, emergency medical service, and hazardous materials response, the recruits found time to perform the following community activities:

The HFD 92nd Fire Fighter Recruit Class will report to their new assignments beginning Nov. 2 and consists of the following 21 recruits: Bronson J. K. Beyer, Christopher K. James, Ross T.
