Weekly thoughts

By Rev. Paul Osumi

Pearls are made by putting irritating grains of sand in the oysters. The oysters then make protective coverings around the irritating sands and pearls are formed. When this was explained, a girl said, "Then every oyster with a pearl in it must be a frustrated oyster." In life we are often surrounded with irritations and handicaps. With God's help we must make something beautiful out of them.

Thoughts by the late Rev. Paul Osumi are selected weekly by his family.
