Pleasant weather should remain through Thursday

A cloud band over the islands will break up today and move off to southeast allowing drier trade wind weather to return, according to the National Weather Service.A high pressure system north of the islands has weakened, so the trade winds will not be as strong as the have been in recent days, forecasters said.
Expect a major change in the weather later into the new week as a front approaches from the northwest. The winds will likely shift to the southeast and weaken rapidly Thursday night and a period of unsettled weather will follow.
Here's what to expect during the next few days:
Today, scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. Breezy, with a east wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
Tonight, isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 74. East wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Monday, isolated showers before noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 83. Breezy, with a east wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Monday night, isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 75. East wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Tuesday, sunny, with a high near 83. Breezy, with a east wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
