Advertiser Staff

Former Honolulu resident Parker McLachlin finished tied for 12th and earned $91,125 today in the Ginn sur Mer Classic in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

McLachlin, a Punahou School alum, shot 71-68-70-72 at the Tesoro Club, par 73 Arnold Palmer Course. He tied at 11-under 281 overall with Jerry Kelly, Chris Stroud and Bob Estes.

Daniel Chopra won his first PGA Tour event and earned $810,000.

McLachlin has earned $597,557 in 27 tournaments but is ranked 136th on the PGA Tour money list with one tournament left — this week's Children's Miracle Network Classic at the Disney courses near Orlando.

He needs to finish among the top 125 to earn full playing privileges next season.

Shigeki Maruyama vaulted from 137th to 103 on the money list by earning $396,000 in the Ginn sur Mer Classic.
