High surf advisory for eastern shores

Advertiser Staff

A high surf advisory for the east-facing shores of all islands except Lanai and Niiahu has been issued by the National Weather Service until 6 p.m. today.

Surf is expected to be 6 to 9 feet along eastern shores and 6 to 8 feet along north-facing shores.

West and south shores will see surf 3 to 5 feet.

The high surf on the east shore will decline slowly after today, the National Weather Service said. Small to moderate surf will persist along south-facing shores through the upcoming week.
