University of Hawai'i starting safety Keao Monteilh will miss the rest of the football regular season after being diagnosed with a fractured left scapula.

Monteilh was told the recovery period is six to eight weeks. There are four games and five weeks remaining in the Warriors' regular season.

"It's part of the game," said Monteilh, who was injured while making a tackle in Saturday's 50-13 victory over New Mexico State.

The past three games, Monteilh also served as the No. 1 nickelback in defenses utilizing five defensive backs.
