Hawaii at No. 11 in volleyball poll, Penn St. new No. 1

Advertiser Staff

The University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team remained at No. 11 for the third-straight week in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, released today.

The Rainbow Wahine (18-4, 12-0 Western Athletic Conference) swept New Mexico State and Louisiana Tech on Friday and yesterday in conference play.

Despite the loss, New Mexico State (19-4, 10-2 WAC) remained at No. 13 in this week's poll, the highest ranking in program history. Both of its WAC losses have come to Hawai'i.

Penn State (20-2) took over the new No. 1 spot after previous No. 1 Nebraska was swept at Texas last week. Nebraska (19-1) fell to No. 2, followed by Texas (16-3).
