First Hawaiian Bank Foundation has given Seagull Schools a $25,000 grant that will go toward construction of additional classrooms at its Kailua campus.

"Our Kailua school has had wait lists for enrollment for several years and this grant will help us in developing much-needed additional classrooms," said Chuck Larson, Seagull Schools executive director.

The Kailua campus is Seagull's original site, and the expansion represents a strong partnership with the landlord, Christ Church and First Hawaiian Bank, Larson said in a press release.

The grant will be paid out over two years.
