Most of Hawaii remains under high surf advisory

A high surf advisory remains in effect until 6 a.m. today for the east-facing shores of all islands except Lanai and Niihau, the National Weather Service said.Surf will be 6 to 10 feet through the early morning before gradually subsidiing below the 8-foot advisory by this afternoon.
Another west northwest swell and another larger south swell will arrive later this week. The south swell will approach advisory level by Friday.
Today, surf along northshores will be 6 to 8 feet through this morning and lower to 4 to 6 feet this afternoon.
Surf along west and south shores will be 3 to 5 feet.
