Part of Hoolaulea Street in Pearl City remains closed

Portions of Hoolaulea Street in Pearl City remained closed as of 7:45 a.m. due to a utility pole than went down during a motor vehicle collision about 3:30 a.m. today.

Police said Hawaiian Electric Co. was notified of the problem.

The road, between Noelani and Hoomaemae streets, will be reopened once repairs are completed, police said. No estimate was given as to when the affected area will be reopened.
