Man stabbed, 2nd arrested at Waipahu halfway home

Police investigated a suspected stabbing this morning at the Victory Ohana halfway home in Waipahu.

One man allegedly was stabbed and another arrested this morning at a halfway home in Waipahu.

Staff at the Victory Ohana residential building on Pupuole Street said they heard heard scuffling. They said they found two male residents, one holding a knife and another bleeding from a cut to the left forearm.

The man with the knife was arrested and the bleeding man was taken to Hawaii Medical Center West in stable condition with minor injuries.

Victory Ohana has 37 residents in its faith-based residential program for parolees, probationers and homeless people.

Police received the emergency call at about 9:05 a.m.
