Hawaii stock index has biggest gain in a month

The Bloomberg-Honolulu Advertiser Hawai'i Index had its biggest gain in more than a month as local stocks followed a larger market rally and Hawaiian Holdings' shares jumped on news of an $80 million judgement against Mesa Air Group.The 11-member stock index climbed 1.58 points to 99.03, led by Alexander & Baldwin Inc. and Hawaiian Holdings. Six issues rose, one was unchanged and three declined.
Alexander & Baldwin sahres increased $1.85 to $52.38, or 3.7 percent.
Hawaiian's shares climbed 17 percent, or 76 cents, to $5.15. Barnwell Industries rose 65 cents to $14.65.
Mesa, the Phoenix-based parent of interisland carrier go!, fell 8.8 percent, or 45 cents, to $4.65.
