Advertiser Staff

A fugitive arrested Thursday has been charged with ramming an unmarked police vehicle and drug possession.

Christopher Young Lee, 25, of a Kanunu Street address, was charged by prosecutors with first-degree criminal property damage and third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug.

His bail totals $50,000. Lee's initial appearance is Tuesday at District Court.

Lee is also being held on an outstanding $30,000 warrant and a $15,000 parole-revocation warrant.

Central Honolulu Crime Reduction Unit officers had stopped Lee at the intersection of South King Street and Kalakaua Avenue at 1:10 p.m. Thursday when he allegedly rammed the police vehicle in an attempt to drive off.

Lee has three prior convictions, including two for drug-related offenses.
