Advertiser Staff

Tickets are now available for the third annual Hawaii Living Reef Awards, set for 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 21 at the Honolulu Elk's Lodge, 2933 Kalakaua Ave.

The annual awards program honors businesses, organizations, and community leaders who have, through their actions, demonstrated significant care to protect and nurture Hawai'i's coral reef ecosystem. The awards will recognize Hawai'i-based organizations that implemented programs and activities to conserve coral reefs between Jan. 1, 2006, and Dec. 31, 2006.

Tickets are available for $25 per person if purchased before Monday, and $30 if purchased later. Ticket includes a buffet dinner and no-host cocktails. For more information and to purchase tickets, log visit www.hawaiireef.org and click on "Awards" or e-mail laleen@hawaiipacificentertainment.com or call 808-237-3674.

The event is organized by the Coral Reef Outreach Network, a nonprofit organization that aims to raise general public awareness about Hawai'i's coral reef ecosystem and to teach and encourage positive behaviors that will protect and nurture this life-giving natural resource.
