Embassy Suites tops in J.D. Power guest satisfaction

Embassy Suites recently recaptured the J.D. Power and Associates award for "Highest Guest Satisfaction Among Upscale Hotel Chains" and celebrated with a party that included the new Waikiki Beach Walk hotel.

Embassy Suites executives in Memphis decided to host a global party last month to give all properties that have contributed a big celebration for the JD Power award.

The party included the executive team, staff, housekeepers, bellmen, concierge, front desk, a couple valets and all staff that could make it at the flagship property in Waikiki. The Waikiki location is the company's highest grossing property and is the first lifestyle targeted property.

According to the study, Embassy Suites Hotels received highest ratings in three of seven key measures of guest experience; specifically, check-in/check-out, food and beverage, and costs and fees. In addition to being right on the Waikiki shopping plaza, the hotel suites that sleep up to six people.

Some hotel features that helped win the honor included free daily receptions with beverages, snacks and live entertainment; a complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast that includes an omelet station, selection of fresh local fruits and island favorites, such as Portuguese sausage, Spam, and rice, etc.

The Waikiki hotel includes these check-in features:

i A complimentary welcome beverage on arrival, casual, sit-down check-in with an Embassy Suites representative,

i a personal welcome call from the general manager or assistant general manager,

i a complimentary CD compilation of local Hawaiian music,

i a Hawaiian story card – a different story card is left in the room each night to inform and educate guests about Hawaii's unique traditions and culture.
