Waikiki worker suspected of stealing nearly $20,000

Advertiser Staff

A 23-year-old woman was arrested yesterday after she allegedly took nearly $20,000 in cash from her Waikiki employer, according to police.

Yesterday the business manager at the woman's workplace discovered $19,270 missing from the safe.

An internal probe was launched, and the woman was identified as the prime suspect.

Police were called and the business manager turned over the results of the in-house probe to officers.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of second-degree theft.
