Advertiser Staff

Sam O. Hirota, Inc., a family-owned local engineering and surveying firm, is making three-dimensional color DVD images of the churches of Honolulu that the founder's family has been affiliated with for over three generations.

Using the LIDAR technology, the firm has scanned the

exterior and interior of the Izumo Taisha Mission, a small, wooden Shinto shrine built in Chinatown in 1923, and Makiki Christian Church.

Information: Dennis Hirota, 237-3217.
