WAI'ANAE
Toss your junk into recycling

Advertiser Staff

Nani 'O Wai'anae — an all-volunteer community group in Leeward O'ahu that promotes local beautification — is reminding good-deed-doers of the upcoming Nanakuli- Wai'anae Aloha 'Aina Earth Day recycling cleanup project, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Wai'anae Boat Harbor.

Organizers are looking for junk — scrap metal, pipes, metal appliances, car parts, bicycles, lawn mowers, green waste, fishing lines, fishnets, car and boat batteries, cell phones, printer cartridges and HI-5¢ recyclables.

Bring items to the boat harbor and toss them in the shipping containers.

For more information, call 781-2734 or 306-1876.
