Fujikawa shoots 77 in first round of European Masters

Honolulu's Tadd Fujikawa finished his first round Friday with a 6-over 77 and was tied for 118th in the Omega European Masters at Crans-sur-Sierre, Crans Montana, Switzerland.The second round also is scheduled for Friday.
Fujikawa was 5-over-par after 15 holes in the first round when the tournament was suspended due to darkness on Thursday. He returned Friday morning and bogeyed the par-3 16th before parring the final two holes of the first round. He was tied for 118th out of 153 golfers.
Oliver Wilson was the first-round leader at 6-under 65.
Fujikawa opened with a birdie on the par-5 No. 1 and bogeyed the par-4 No. 2. After going to 1 under with a birdie on the par-4 No. 4, he bogeyed Nos. 5, 6, 8 and 9 to make the turn with a 39.
Fujikawa opened the back nine with a par on No. 10. He bogeyed the par-3 11th hole and parred the 12th. On his next three holes, Fujikawa went bogey, birdie, bogey.
Fujikawa, a 16-year-old Moanalua High junior, is playing in his third professional tournament. He received a sponsor's exemption to the European Masters, the most prestigious event on the European Tour after the British Open.
