Taste of Kalihi delayed until Sept. 29

Advertiser Staff

"A Taste of Kalihi" has been rescheduled for Sept. 29.

The event was originally scheduled for Saturday. Organizers did not give a reason for the rescheduling.

"A Taste of Kalihi," set to run from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., will be held along Colburn Street near Dillingham Plaza. In addition to food, it will feature games, dozens of booths and a car show. There will also be free entertainment.

The event is aimed at helping to revitalize Kalihi's business district. Proceeds from the event will go to Weed and Seed and the Filipino Chamber of Commerce.

Highlights of the event include an attempt to create Hawai'i's largest electric slide and honoring Farrington High alumni. Mayor Mufi Hannemann will also perform.
