Light winds, plenty of sun on tap for next few days

Trade winds will continue to be on the lighter side heading into Friday but are expected to increase a bit during the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Morning land breezes will give way to sea breezes by this afternoon with clouds developing over the leeward areas, forecasters said.

Today will be relatively dry, but the trades may bring a few showers to windward and mauka areas later tonight.

Here's a closer look at the next several days:

Today, sunny. Highs 81 to 88. Northeast winds up to 10 mph shifting to the southeast around 10 mph in the late morning and afternoon.

Tonight partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 73. Northeast winds around 10 mph shifting to the north early in the morning. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Friday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 81 to 89. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Friday night, mostly clear with isolated showers. Lows 68 to 74. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Saturday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 81 to 88. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Saturday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 69 to 75. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent
