Royal Hawaiian offers 'Lion King' promotion

The Royal Hawaiian Hotel is offering a special promotion called "The Lion Sleeps Tonight at the Pink Palace" that combines purchase of tickets to specific nights to the touring Broadway production of "The Lion King" with a hotel package.

The offer includes daily breakfast for two, 4 p.m. late checkout, a signature Royal Hawaiian stuffed teddy bear, and the opportunity to buy tickets for premier seating at select "The Lion King" performances.

"The Lion King" runs Sept. 16, through Dec. 9 at the Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall in Honolulu. Tickets for shows on Nov. 3, Nov. 10 and Nov. 17 are available for purchase through The Royal Hawaiian's concierge desk at an additional charge of $91 per person for hotel guests only.

The special runs from Sept. 20 through Dec. 15 with rates starting at $220 per night for a Garden View room. Also, included in the package is a fresh flower lei greeting, and families with "lion cubs" (children 12 and younger) can take advantage of The Royal Hawaiian's "Kids Stay and Eat Free" promotion.
