Sustainability is focus in third of social concern series

Honolulu Hongwanji Council and the Interfaith Alliance of Hawaii are offering a "Social Concern" forum at 7 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Buddhist Study Center, 1436 University Ave.It's the third in a series of social issues; presenters will include Sister Joan Chatfield, a Maryknoll nun; Henry Curtis; the Rev. Bruce Nakamura of the Honpa Hongwanji Hilo; James Spencer, assistant professor in the department of urban and regional planning at the University of Hawai'i; and the Rev. David Turner of Interfaith Power & Light.
